Jason is an experienced software executive with fifteen years of practice across multiple functions including marketing, product management, sales and software development; and multiple disciplines including social media, security, mobile, online advertising and SAAS. Most recently Jason served as Vice President of Business Marketing for Demand Media where he oversaw all B2B marketing responsibilities across the media, content and social divisions. Jason also ran product management and product strategy for Demand Media’s social division. Prior to Demand Media, Jason was the Director of Product Management at Credant Technologies, where he oversaw the definition, development, launch, and management of an Enterprise Mobile Security product. Previous experience includes sales and development positions at Entrust, enCommerce, and Accenture. During his tenure at enCommerce and Accenture he worked for numerous clients to architect and build Enterprise Web applications. Jason holds an MBA degree from the University of Texas and a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
Chris is a 2x entrepreneur and is passionate about creating new products and businesses at the intersection of Mobile and the Web. He previously co-founded and served in various executive roles at Fusion Mobile, an angel and venture backed mobile platform as a service company. Earlier in life he served as a software developer and consultant focused on enterprise web site and web application development in Accenture’s High Tech and Telecommunications practice servicing clients such as Sprint, Texas Instruments and Motorola. More recently Chris served as a senior business strategy consultant for Motive, an Austin-based mobile and broadband customer experience management software company. While earning his MBA at The University of Texas at Austin Chris was a Venture Fellow and worked for Hunt Ventures and Arch Ventures assessing deal flow and developing white papers on new technology trends. Chris also earned his BBA in Management Information Science from Southern Methodist University.
Stephen is a believer in the mantra that “content is king” and has worked to expand his abilities in the fields of marketing and customer communications. Though his background is firmly rooted in writing he is eager to embrace the increasingly popular video medium. He has also devoted a significant period of time to the study of web and graphic design. A true tech geek at heart, Stephen routinely spends his afternoons poring over gadget specs at his local electronics superstores. When he isn’t busy playing on his myriad tablets and gaming systems Stephen can often be found starting and abandoning various blogs around the Internet. Stephen is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Honors and History.
Anthony Pynes is an experienced architect with specializations in highly scalable, transactional SaaS applications, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and machine learning platforms. Most recently, Mr. Pynes was responsible for the design, development, and deployment of high volume solutions for managing consumer and business data storage and collaboration needs in the cloud at Skyence Inc. Prior to that he ran the teams architecting and implementing a next generation platform for Demand Media’s worldwide authoring applications, as well as developing auditing software to automatically analyze, categorize, and act on large scale data sets within high-volume transactional systems. Before Demand Media, Mr. Pynes was the lead project engineer for the localization and integration of Dell’s worldwide global Product Configurator and SaaS applications to EMEA, Asia Pacific/Japan and Latin America. Anthony holds degrees in Mathematics and Physics from UTSA.
Brandon Fairchild is an Apptive Developer with advanced contributions to our Android and iOS client and module development. With several years of experience developing his own app ideas and working directly with lead development teams in local technology companies, Brandon provides both an adaptable skill set and actionable insight into development processes. Brandon is currently a Senior at The University of Texas at Austin in the Computer Science program.
