Do I really need an app?

We answer this question with an emphatic - YES!

A native mobile app is a very important part of a complete mobile presence for an online retailer. Recent studies have shown that 80% eCommerce consumers mobile shopping time is done through apps (Comscore). What kind of companies can get apps and what kind of app modules do you offer?

How long does it take for my app to show up in the App Store once I have submitted it to Apptive?

It typically takes anywhere from 7-10 days for Apple to approve and publish an app. Android apps are faster, usually only taking 1 to 2 days to go live in the associated app stores.

How will I know when my app appears in the App Store?

Apple will email you once your app has been approved and once it is available for download in the App Store.

Marketing Questions

How will my customers know to download my app?

Apptive recommends in-store signage prompting customers to download the app, links on your website and promotion in any other place you can think of. If you have a customer email distribution list you can also email a direct link to the App Store so customers can easily download your app.

Will my customers have to pay anything to download an app?

No, apps created with Apptive are free for your customers to download. If you have a unique use case that would require charging for download of an app, that is settable through your Apple Developer Account.

Technical Questions

What kind of smartphones will Apptive's apps work on?

Apptive produces apps for the two most dominant smartphone operating systems on the market - iOS and Android.

What is a push notification and what are push enabled app modules?

A push notification is a message that you can “push” or send to those with your app that will appear as an alert on their iPhone. The push notification shows up as a red circle badge on your app’s launch icon. Then once opened, within your app the app module the push notification is associated with also displays the same alert badge.

The important thing to note about push notifications and push-enabled app modules is that they are what enable your app as a real-time marketing platform to send deals, offers or coupons to your customers.

Questions About My Account

How do I update my account, billing or payment information?

To update account, billing or payment information, you just need to login to your account at Apptive.com and then click on the Account Information or Billing Information link in the left hand menu. There you can view and update your account information, billing information and method of payment.

What payment methods does Apptive accept?

Currently Apptive accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

When will my card be billed each month for Apptive service?

Your credit card will be charged at the beginning of each month by Apptive.

What is your refund policy?

If you are unhappy with you app or the Apptive service and want to cancel your account, we will be happy to refund 100% of your the fees you've paid anytime within the first 30 days of service. If you are considering canceling your service and are seeking a refund, please email Customer Support.
